Our various research programs exceed our current funding ability so we continue to welcome members and sponsors at all levels. Members in our Strategic Alliance will be recognized in our brochures, newsletters, press releases, website, and special events for their corporate contributions to our capital campaigns and membership drives. Inquiries from lodges, fly & tackle shops, marine industry dealers, and other interested organizations are all welcome.

Our organization evolved for a simple reason: Little data exists about the lifecycles of bonefish and tarpon, two of the most popular saltwater game fish. Why? Because species not considered as food-fish (particularly in the U.S. and developed companies with marine researchers) tend to receive far less attention.

Bonefish & Tarpon Unlimited, a non-profit 501.C3 organization, aims to fill that information gap. Our Founding Members represent major players in the fishing and business worlds: Billy Pate, Stu Apte, Chico Fernandez, Lefty Kreh, Joan Wulff, Mark Sosin, Larry Dahlberg, Curt Gowdy, Mike Leech, Norman Schwarzkopf, Mina Hemingway, Doug Hannon, Christie Whitman (EPA Administrator), Paul Tudor Jones, Tom Davidson and so many others. We've come together to pool our resources and secure the help of others who wish to make significant contributions to the health of bonefish and tarpon resources worldwide.
