Catch & Release
BTT and its collaborators are the lead advocates for proper catch and release practices of bonefish, tarpon and permit (among other species). Proper catch and release technique is a powerful conservation tool to ensure healthy fisheries for the future. However, these techniques are beneficial to the fisheries only if they are used correctly, which means anglers must be aware of the correct practices. The links below will lead you to our Best Practices for Bonefish Catch and Release guidelines which can be universal to all fish. In these links you will also find an open letter to fishing publications to do their part for promoting catch and release by only publishing pictures that demonstrate the proper practices of catch and release. You can show your support of proper catch and release by adding your name to the signature page.
