| To increase the odds of hook-ups like this, BTU is working hard with our science team to obtain data about the preferences of bonefish and tarpon. As with all marine research, the costs are high. |

The conduct of BTU-supported research is not possible without the help of fishing guides, anglers, lodges, and our other Partners. All of the research supported by BTU requires the participation of the people who are most involved in the fisheries. This is by design – it allows BTU-supported scientists to conduct more research for less money, and ensures that the people in the fishery have an active part in the process.
We are actively engaged with governments and regulators of the U.S. – Florida, Texas, Mexico, Bahamas, and The Seychelles – where we have active dialogue related to research funding, regulation, and education to better manage the target fisheries.
We are definitely getting even closer to being able to have positive effect on the quality of the fisheries and are in need of your financial support more than ever.
Your membership includes a bi-monthly emailed newsletter, annual printed newsletter, and research flash reports so please be sure we have your current email and mailing address information.
Please re-double your financial support for this very worthy cause.
