The location of tarpon spawning is still somewhat of a mystery to marine scientists and wildlife managers. A fundraiser hosted by Boca Grande Outfitters and BTT at the Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande allowed BTT to raise enough funds to deploy 10 Pop-up Archival Transmitting (PAT) tags near Boca Grande - 5 specificially to track spawning.
